The first spell he flings at her is batted away with a swish of her wand; she knows she's relying on Sirius' waning presence for a lot. Last time it had been her and James both. Now it's just her and what Sirius has left. She doesn't have time to cast a Patronus while she's being reactionary.

She can, however, make some noise. A shielding spell takes care of the second hex and when she casts another spell at the snake it looks like it goes wide but it's on purpose, hitting a bookshelf and toppling the whole thing over with a loud crash. Her voice rises too, as she speaks.

"It's always simple with you. Do you want to know what you looked like when you died?" This time when she flicks a spell toward the snake it's spot on if it can't get out of the way. "You looked small and frightened. And do you know why you died? Because you were scared of me. Scared of me and my son."

She's still keeping a distance between herself and the snake, just in case. She flings a simple stunning spell toward Voldemort as she moves - nothing that will hurt Sirius if it hits, but something to distract in the meantime.
